Kris Kristofferson is my favourite wordsmith of all time, but there are others who tickle my ear. Unsurprisingly, they are Kris’ fans too.
This space is for songwriters. A collection of articles and views about the industry, songwriting, the creative process and new talent. Songs live for as long as people sing them. Kris and songwriters from his era often struggled and paid their dues to create their songs. Globalisation, technology and new ways of making and sharing music have changed beyond all recognition – Yet the spirit lives on.
Songwriting is no longer the profitable business that it once was. This looks at cross-generational and multi regional topics common to all artists. It’s about how the creative spirit integrates into the fast-changing world we live in now, and how it might do so tomorrow.
